I wrote the Suite for Brass Quintet in 1979, when it had a number of performances, including at the St Ives Festival and Cranford Institute of Technology. I was reminded of the piece recently, when a family staying in one of our cottages included a Trombone and Horn player. On revisiting the Suite I feel it still has merit and may be ready for a revival. I would be very happy to hear from anyone involved with this instrumental line-up who might care to give it a run through. The March is demonstrated below and I shall add other movements shortly.
