Never attracted by the byways and diversions of 20th century classical music with its desire for innovation at any cost and its apparent rejection of virtually all previous influences, I chose to develop a personal idiom clearly based on the immense heritage of English and European music of the last 500 years: modern classical perhaps, but with a wide range of influences from Early Music to the 20th century mainstream, plus a liberal sprinkling of influences from film music to jazz. Hopefully enjoyable both to play and to listen to.

I have lived and worked near White Downs on the Land's End Peninsula in Cornwall for many years and during that time written music ranging from Solo Piano, Piano Duet, various Song Settings, SATB, Male Voice Choir, Flute & Piano, Violin & Piano, Brass Quartet, String Quartet, Recorder Consort, a 'cello Concertino and other instrumental works, to background music for a variety of films and videos.

Much of my music is now available in printed score form, and this site contains sample pages and mp3 audio clips for browsing and buying. Only printed scores are available now but mp3 downloads of complete pieces will be here shortly.
